Responded to an emergency request from one of our commercial customers in Fair Oaks California. One of their Traulsen freezers was not going into proper defrost or so the employees thought. After troubleshooting the system, our tech found that the unit was hitting proper defrost and standard temperatures, but that the display was faulty and not showing the temperatures correctly. Will source and order a new display for the freezer. Unit is functional and can be used to store product in the meantime.
Commercial HVAC tech responded to report of no cooling at a mobile phone provider store in Fair Oaks, CA. Troubleshooting the Carrier 7.5 ton, the technician determined that the VFD had failed and was preventing the blower motor from operating. He bypassed the variable frequency drive to provide the site with temporary cooling. Report of failure was drawn up and provided to customer to approve.
